PayPal Problem

It seems PayPal have put the kibosh on the SaveOiNK funding at the moment. Countermeasures are under way but the process could take several days before the account is unblocked and accepting gifts again. Please be patient, they have a lot of hoops to jump through but I see no reason why this won't get resolved successfully.

Have to admit I kind of saw this coming since it happened to the SA katrina fund, too. Hope you guys get it sorted out soon. :(

That sucks. There will be around it though, there always is. Mind you, I don't know why they cut off the funding though it was for a good cause. I can see why this was shut down seeing as it's going through with 'illegal' activities and such. Stupid.

Does this mean anything donated prior to the account being frozen is lost?

Talk about bringing the hammer down.

Whered Paine go?

Absolutely completely ridiculous...

howd they manage to shut the legitimate fund but not the scams?

again aligned with the assume guilt, prove innocent later approach.

Hah. Yes, PayPal does indeed suck.

This brings back memories from when KG's PayPal account was shut down because some wisecracking user wrote "sexual accommodation" in the donation description. Really.

Paine isn't the only contributor guys. They may be gone camping or dealing with something else, but leave it to you guys to speculate over everything.

Err shit, nevermind. Paine's off the contributors list, my bad.

Using PayPal == asking for this. Seriously, who hasn't heard about PayPal's random funds freezing?

Where did Paine go? His handle is no longer on the contributors list...

as soon as I read the first post about the PayPal OiNK fund, I knew this would happen within a matter of days. Anyone remember Something Awful?
